I have been thinking about this infographic for some time, but the final impulse came after reading this very well written overview in a Slovak magazine. As the data was just lying there, I couldn’t resist and a few days later, this infographic was born.
It summarizes the current status of the 7 most important COVID-19 vaccines from the viewpoint of EU. First is the technology on which the vaccine is based- either mRNA encapsulated in a lipid nanoparticle, DNA delivered by one or more adenoviruses, proteins attached to a synthetic nanoparticle or an inactivated whole virus. The reported efficiency or their range from different studies are displayed in the second row. Beneath is the recommended dosage and in the fourth row recommended storage temperature. The fifth is the date of official approval by EU and, finally, the very last row shows the number of vaccines that EU has ordered.
